For decades, Toronto residents looking for a summer getaway have taken the drive up the 400 highway to the Muskoka Region. You'll Never Run Out Of Things To Do

One of the reasons Toronto residents love Prince Edward County so much is they never run out of things to do. The island is home to some of the most gorgeous beaches in the country. Sandbanks Provincial Park is a must, but don’t sleep on lesser known beaches like North Beach and Wellington Beach- here you’ll find less crowded beaches that still offer wonderful access to Lake Ontario. And after a trip to the beach, it’s important to remember we are in Southern Ontario’s wine country. It would be almost impossible to explore all of the wineries, breweries, and cideries in Prince Edward County… but it’s worth a shot! Stunning Waterfront Views

Prince Edward County is technically an island, presenting countless ways to experience premium waterfront on Lake Ontario. There are actually 800km of shoreline, marshes, and wetlands to explore. While going to one of the beaches is a great way to access this waterfront, there are also plenty of access points through the trail system. The Millenium trail was built along an old railway line and is now a multi-use trail for cyclists, hikers, and ATV/Snowmobile riders. There are plans to create a separate trail for motorized vehicles, so keep your eyes peeled for the opening of the off-road Waterfront Trail.
