Once called the ‘Garden County of Canada,’ The County has been a thriving agricultural community since the Barley Days of the late 1800s. Less than a century later, the Province of Ontario established Sandbanks Provincial Park at the site of Prince Edward County’s world renowned beaches on the southern side of the island.
