The Deluxe Mini Coach

Our tours take place on our deluxe mini coach, which accommodates up to 24 passengers. The tour requires a minimum of eight people (not all from the same group) to operate. Our comfortable coach is perfect for small groups and provides a safe and convenient way to travel between each stop.

Spearhead Brewery

Spearhead Brewing Company wasted no time bursting onto the Kingston Beer Scene. The team has integrated into the community by hosting countless events for different organizations and groups in the city. They’re known to host local food trucks, artists and musicians. A large hit this past summer was taco and oyster night. Shucked by a true professional, if you know someone who is looking to try oysters for the first time- make sure it’s here. Over 30 years of brewing experience combined with state of the art, efficient tanks, making a decision on what beer to order can present a challenge. Riverhead Brewing Company

Riverhead Brewing Company is located in the West End of the city. Being a licensed Tied House, they can serve full glasses of their beers as well as sell if out of their store. You can also find booths, games, and a bar with a view to the taproom inside. Daft Brewing Company

Located in the midtown mile of the Limestone City- Daft Brewing brings a West-coast vibe to the neighbourhood. Stone City Ales

Stone City Ales is one of two downtown breweries in Kingston. Inside, you’ll experience a modern yet industrial feel with exposed brick and metal. The brewery proudly focuses on supporting local- as seen with their menu. Expect to find a selection of beers with robust flavours, along with menu items filled with ingredients from local farms/producers. For those who enjoy a dark stout- keep an eye out for their “Ships in the Night” Oatmeal Stout. With notes of espresso, dark chocolate, and toasted nuts, expect a velvety experience from start to finish.

Kingston Brewing Company

Kingston Brewing Company is another one of the city’s downtown beer makers. In contrast to Stone City Ales, KBC offers a more classic feel as the oldest Pub in Ontario. When oak-aged, wine lovers will discover spicy notes, whereas unoaked wines are lighter and zesty with apple and citrus flavours.

Riesling

Riesling is a light-bodied, high acid, white wine that is very versatile when it comes to its food pairings . Expect prominent flavours such as Citrus (kefir lime, lemon juice) and stone-fruit (white peach, nectarine) that are accompanied by floral and sweet herbal elements. Pinot Gris

Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio are interchangeable. The relationship between the two names comes from the wine having cultural significance in both France and Italy . This light-bodied, dry grape is also planted frequently throughout Germany. Regardless of what you choose to call it, you can expect to experience a delicate citrus flavour, accompanied by pomaceous fruit flavours with white floral notes. While it is officially classified as a white grape, it has a greyish-blue, light purple colour and is a close relative of pinot noir. Pinot Noir

At Sandbanks Provincial Park, over 3800 acres of sandy white beaches can be hard to distinguish from their Caribbean counterparts.

After picking up your ride from Closson Road Cycles , it’s time to hit The Millenium Trail - which winds 46 km throughout Prince Edward County. The flat landscape of the County makes it easy to explore at your own pace on 2 wheels. The Millenium Trail has more than 30 access points. It’s also close in proximity to the many wineries, breweries, and cideries throughout PEC.

4. Experience the Prince Edward County Taste Trail

The Taste Trail title is given to restaurants, wineries, and breweries that make a significant effort to source and promote locally grown products in their dishes and drinks. They are easily recognizable by their signature blue signs! They signify the area’s rich agricultural heritage and are used to promote the “farm-to-table” movement in The County!

Prince Edward County Lavender Farm is located on the west side of the island, in Hillier. But a trip here can make visitors feel as if they’re spending the summer in the hills of Provence, France. Established as a grower, distiller, and crafter of lavender in 2005, PEC Lavender is home to beautiful fields of lavender that provide a mix of colours, scents, and tastes that are sure to get your senses going!

7. Stop for an Ice Cream Cone At Slickers In Bloomfield or Picton

Slickers is often recognized as one of the best ice cream places in Ontario, and some even say they are even better than that. They craft their ice cream in small batches from locally sourced ingredients. There are two Slickers ice cream locations: one in Picton, while the original location is on Main St. in Bloomfield.

It is worth noting that the restaurant and pool are seasonal, which means they close the first week of October. But if you can’t make it in the summer, the terrace remains open for the month of October with campfires, beverages, hot dogs and s'mores kits still available.

History of Prince Edward County

Prince Edward County has been shaped by Indigenous, British, French, Dutch, and German cultures which can be seen by visiting one of five local museums. Once called the ‘Garden County of Canada,’ The County has been a thriving agricultural community since the Barley Days of the late 1800s . Less than a century later, the Province of Ontario established Sandbanks Provincial Park at the site of Prince Edward County’s world renowned beaches on the southern side of the island. Let’s start local! While Spearhead has been around since 2011, in 2018 they took the plunge and opened their own brewery, tasting taproom and retail store in Kingston. Some of their cornerstone brews include a Moroccan Brown Ale, Bedrock Lager, Lighter Lager, and a Hawaiian Style Pale Ale. Conveniently located in Kingston’s west-end, you don’t want to miss out on the many events they host throughout the year including: Comedy Fest, Oyster Fest, live music, trivia nights and so much more!

Skeleton Park Brewery

In 2019, Skeleton Park Brewery opened their retail space in Kingston. It's there that they brew fresh craft beer using local ingredients to serve to taproom visitors, and to package for customers across the province. The brewery is owned by brothers who have over 45 years of brewing experience, which truly shows in all of their unique brews.

Daft Brewing Company

Daft Brewing is one of Kingston’s newest breweries located downtown! Their aim was to create a unique, west-coast style tap room that doesn’t blend in with the crowd. They describe themselves as “the ultimate taproom for anyone who loves beer and socializing. A non-pretentious spot for craft beer drinkers of all levels.” Their facility features a large patio, full taproom, custom tables painted by local artists, 3 full wall murals, and an open concept brewery!

Mackinnon Brother's Brewing

Located in Bath, just outside of Kingston, the MacKinnon Brothers Brewing Company operate tastings and beer sales on their 1400 acre farm! Brothers Ivan and Daniel renovated century-old barns to house the equipment and planted hops and malting barley in the surrounding fields. They host many popular events all year long! In the summer, they host the highly anticipated festival Back to the Farm; a day-long celebration with beer vendors, food trucks, live music and more!

Cressy Mustard also makes handcrafted, small batch mustard along the shores of Waupoos in beautiful Prince Edward County. They feature Chardonnay, Sassy, Horseradish, Ballpark, Beer, Honey and Grainy mustards. Their Honey Mustard is made with local honey. The new Beer mustard is made with a local IPA from Prince Eddy’s, another partner of ours!
